They were tasty. I prefer my noodles very soft so I allowed them to sit more than the directions said, about 10 minutes.

Many reviews mentioned that the ramen is bland. My suggestion is to add soy sauce, or any other Asian flavoring of your choice. Texture is just different. I have added eggs, tofu, green onions, etc and becomes a very hearty meal. You make it what you want.

If you like whole-wheat pasta and are looking for new protein sources, you’ll enjoy VOLO VERO’s High-Protein “Spicy Beef” Flavor Instant Ramen Noodles 8-Pack. The nutrition label is impressive, with 32 g of protein (the equivalent of 4 extra large eggs), 25% daily value of iron, 3 g of fat and no cholesterol for only 230 cal per package/serving. The box I received in April 2025 has an expiration date in September 2026.The photos show the plain ramen 5 minutes after addition of 1 cup of boiling water. The noodles tasted bland and had a chewy whole-grain texture. The beef seasoning was a pleasant surprise, with separate packets of dried vegetables and beef mixture including onion, chili, garlic and curry powders. I added all of the vegetables and half of the beef seasoning, which made a flavorful and spicy dish with 14% of the daily value of sodium (instead of 27% in the whole packet). With the escalating prices of proteins these days, I’m happy to have this tasty, shelf-stable entrée that reminds me of my college days, but with a healthier nutrition profile.

These noodles arrived in 8 packets stored in a cardboard box. Each pack of noodles also comes with a packet containing spice mixture to add flavors. They’re easy to prepare and taste very good. Their flavor can be enhanced by adding your own spices, meat, veggies, or sauces. These noodles are made of plant-based ingredients and they’re a good source of protein. These noodles are also very good for anyone with diabetes since they don’t elevate glucose levels the way normal flour-based noodles would. I’d highly recommend giving these noodles a try.

Product shipped quickly and arrived intact. You cook these noodles by boiling water and pouring it on top of them.Pros: Very portable and nice quality. No styrofoam. No weird filler ingredients. Very healthy.YMMV:-The spice packet is not very strong. I tried less water and the broth was still very mild. However, you might like noodles this way.-Tastes very grainy. I like whole grains, so no problem.Cons:Too expensive (these are over $3/pack currently).

These are good.There are three flavors. They taste like what they say they are! The beef even tastes a little like beef stew.The consistency is good.For our taste, it needs more salt, but that’s a great problem to have – much better than too salty.We like these!

I was surprised by how much protein this has – 32 grams from just 220 calories is impressive! The taste is fine, not amazing, but definitely better than downing a protein shake. It’s a convenient and satisfying way to hit those protein goals. I like it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid high-protein snack option.

You can’t compare this to regular instant noodles because of the significant nutritional differences. It’s a great alternative for those who don’t want to give up unhealthy noodles entirely but still crave that familiar taste. That nostalgic itch we yearn for, reminiscent of cooking instant ramen packs during grade school, high school, and college.
